Happy New Year - Looking Forward 2008

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Looking Forward to 2008!

When all about you is black with gloom,
And all you feel is pending doom.
When your bones are racked with grim despair -
When every breath is a gasp for air.
Keep on going, though you need to grope,
For around the bend is a ray of hope.

A ray of hope is perhaps all that's left,
As your will to live has been bereft.
You've lost it all, it's just no use!
You can end it all, you need no excuse.
But throw away that piece of rope,
And give yourself a chance of hope.

Just give yourself another day,
Brushing aside what your thoughts may say.
This is your life and you can make a new start,
By ignoring the brain - just follow the heart.
Taking baby steps in order to cope,
And minute by minute you'll build on your hope.

Build on your hope, one day at a time,
Though the road be steep and hard to climb.
The hurts of the past - they should be dead.
The fears of the future are all in your head.
Just live in the present and refuse to mope
Your life will sparkle for you're living in hope.

Hope

2007 - Looking back

Looking back at the year 2007, good and very tragic sad times.

Two major highlights new job in SA and Isla Mae born 10 Dec.

Two very heart felt departures Auntie Irene and JD Ashton.

Gravity and Depth are the only two words I can find to explain "I", she was an amazing mother to three beautiful daughters and a non stop attention giving Nana to all in her care. To the extended family as well - the Fire Cracker Chinese Restaurant in Perth will never be the same!

Jonathan Ashton was a lad that I fell head over heals in love with, left home to live with in Philip St in Toowoomba QLD, and stayed a solid friend over the last decade or more with.

To the point of walking past each other on opposite sides of Market Street in Fremantle a few years back and not able to turn around and catch up with him and Shauna fast enough.

My most cherished memory of JD is being introduced to Grover - the wonder dog.
The love he showed this animal was a cementing moment in my life that left a mark of a amazing man.

So on 25th Dec 2007 - no call to JD for HAPPY BIRTHDAY, just a quiet moment to say thank you and smile.

Merry Xmas - Meow

Wishing one and all a merry christmas - yule tide!

Photo's in the sky..

Last night was one of the highlights of flying, the full moon colours can never be completely captured albeit many attempts and frustrations. However just to have viewed the hues and vibrant sight was magnificent.

Who Stole the High Street - Fashion Parade

What a fun night, the models looked amazing (the make up was impeccable) and the styles were funky, unique and timeless.

Field Trip - Coober Pedy

This trip really showed how vast and dry South Australia is and can be, the colours of the earth and sky have an incredible contrast - the fond term used by locals is "Moon Scape".

la luna

AT A LUNAR ECLIPSE

Thy shadow, Earth, from Pole to Central Sea,
Now steals along upon the Moon's meek shine
In even monochrome and curving line
Of imperturbable serenity.

How shall I link such sun-cast symmetry
With the torn troubled form I know as thine,
That profile, placid as a brow divine,
With continents of moil and misery?

And can immense Mortality but throw
So small a shade, and
Heaven's high human scheme
Be hemmed within the coasts yon arc implies?

Is such the stellar gauge of earthly show,
Nation at war with nation, brains that teem,
Heroes, and women fairer than the skies?

Solo Touch

So the story goes, after one or two ales and talking with a lovely chap at the pub, I am asked if I am really single. Well yes I am, and it is working out just fine. The conversation then progresses to .....

Lovely Chap - So don't you get lonely??

Kitty (not batting an eyelid) - NO, I masturbate.

Lovely Chap - sprays his drink on the floor and can't believe I just said that.....

All I can say good people, if you ask a question, be ready for the answer...I am not a freak and feel compelled to say that masturbation is a natural part of life and if a person claims that "I'm not a wanker" - they are a liar!!

Be Happy!

Oh Yeah - The picture at the top of the blog is an advertisement I found just the other day, very sexy!

ENJOY!

Broadcast from Kitty Aug 07

Well it is that time of the year again and heck to be honest I stopped counting a while ago, so as Mary Schmich puts it -

“Like many women my age, I am 28 years old.”

This year has been amazing and only keeps getting better, the photography side of life is moving very fast and is very humbling to be living this dream.

Just a few quick thanks –
Mummy and Daddy – Yeah its sappy, but they are so cool!
Sis and Bro’s – Yup, miss you all like crazy xx!
Jeremy – you are the kindest man on earth and I hope that the Antarctic is treating you well, thank you for all your help and guidance.
Will – Fintegrity Gallery is amazing and I am honoured to have been a part of this year’s SALA exhibition.
Jo and Bianca – WOW, ladies once again thank you!!
Buster J – miss you chicky babe! I really love you darling!
Alex and Warrick – cheers for the stop over and making my night, you guys are the best. The Crazy Horse was soooo much fun!
Barry – your help this year has been a gift from above!
Belly – just for being you and can I have the dog back?
Honestly I could go on and on – but I shall stop. If I have missed you, fear not I will catch up at some stage.

My parting babble is that I am off to the Birdsville Races this year!!! It will be a hoot and I will post the pics when I return – but for those who have no idea what I am talking about check out - http://www.birdsvilleraces.com/

It is what friends do!

Now this is funny!

Many, many moons ago my best friend in the universe had boy troubles and was returning to WA. Having arranged to pick 'Buster J' up from the airport, my mind kept focusing on how to make her smile and be happy again....

The answer was simple, be a complete d###head and hire a cow suite to pick her up from the airport. I might add this feat was before the reforms to airport security.

The picture may not be the best, but alas the smile speaks volumes.

I REALLY LOVE YA DARLIN - said the crazy cow.

Yup, I am crazy....

Broadcast from Kitty

Packing my life into boxes once again, I stumbled across this really old photo of one of many abseiling adventures I have enjoyed.

What astounded me was that with age and experience, I looked closer at the picture and to my horror found that the rig I was using and the gloves was in no way what so ever safe or correct. Why did I take that RISK!!! Holly cow, I am happy to say my risky behaviour is now behind me.

Recently having happily taken a different type of risk and resigned from my safe and stable position in the Pilbara, I am ready for the next challenge in SA at Roxby Downs, packing is sad in a way but also rewarding to know I can do this.

Take a risk and change your life, I feel this is the right thing to do at the right time. So to all the fantastic people in the Pilbara –Cheers!
